I. Ways of subjectivation: the invention of oneself and the construction of identities/ representations

The working theme involves studies related to the processes and the reasoning of subjectivities, identities and representations. It intends to discuss the contemporary ways of invention of oneself as original elaborations of subjects facing social-historical junctures.

II. The (auto)biographical space: life as a work of art (literature, images, arts)

The theme includes reflections and analysis which point out the possibilities of literature, arts and images in the process of the subjects’ invention and expression. In this perspective, the configuration of multiples (auto)biographical spaces which allow the subjects to produce their lives as works of art is taken into consideration.

III. Education practices and (auto)biographical research

In this case, studies about educational practices in (auto)biographical perspectives and analysis/investigations which, in human sciences, use the subjects’ histories (biographicals and autobiographicals) are included.

IV. Memory, socio-historical dimensions and (auto)biographical spaces

The theme intends to gather contributions articulating memoir and (auto)biography and contemplating the analysis of their social-historical dimensions. It also includes the studies about kinds of production and resistance of individual and collective memoirs.

V. Gender, generation, childhood and family: (auto)biographical perspectives

In this theme studies are integrated in (auto)biographical perspectives, analyzing dimensions of gender, generation, childhood and family or taking aspects from these dimensions to investigate them through the subjects’ history.

VI. Bodies, health and care: narratives and (self)education

The theme shelters analysis about physical dimensions (body and health) of the subjects’ lives in their different stages. It includes studies about educational practices and (auto)biographical knowledge articulating body, health and self care.
